how to hide cover photo from public

I don't mind them seeing my current cover photo I can accept that because its what they see when they click your profile, but is there any way to hide previous cover photos?

I don't like the idea of personal pictures being accessible to anyone, but Facebook seems to say all cover photos must be "public" :eek:

I don't like the idea of hiding your personal pictures. Have you ever thought that someone may want to jack off to them?

I think you may have to delete them? I couldn't find a way either

I don't think it's possible to make them only visible to friends...
Also Facebook has started making your new profile pictures public. Annoyingly... so you should change those settings to friends only if you don't want others to be able to 'download' them and stuff. you have to do each picture individually though

You can't I'm afraid, not yet anyway. The only option is to delete old ones when you get a new one.

i found a way around this ... go to privacy settings, then click "limit audience for past posts", and it makes all ur profile pics private thankfully.

Also go to
account settings > facebook adverts > edit third party settings > and change the drop down to 'no one'

Facebook says "Facebook does not give third party applications or advert networks the right to use your name or picture in adverts. If we allow this in the future, the setting you choose will determine how your information is used.You may see social context on third party sites, including in adverts, through Facebook social plugin."

*clicks DELETE* Simples. Facebook users have increasingly odd questions like "How do I block a 'friend' without deleting him from my friendlist?", "how do I stop receiving messages from a 'friend' without blocking him?", "why do weirdos always coment on my Facebook statuses?".
